Are there any F&B outlets nearby?

A variety of restaurants and coffee shops are located nearby, including a café on the ground floor of D/Quarters.If you require an elegant meal with upscale ambience there are several fine dining venues in the community that are perfect for business lunches, after hours catchups and team events. Within walking distance are also convenience stores, banks, courier services, printing shops and fitness clubs. Our member relations team will be more than happy to assist when needed.

Are there any activities that require special approval?

Yes, there are activities such as Broadcast and Publishing under Media and Training under Education require external authority approvals. Our team will be able to support if required.

Can I expand or downsize my lease to any other type during the period?

Yes, you can. Please contact the D/Quarters team for assistance.

Can I sponsor dependents, family members or domestic help?

Yes, you can sponsor dependants, family members or a domestic helper via https://axs.force.com. For any further assistance, please contact the D/Quarters team on 800 4 DQR (377).

Do I need to pay VAT as a small business?

• If you are making between AED 187,500 per year and AED 375,000 per year then you may register for VAT if you choose to.
• If you make more than AED 375,000 per year, you must register for VAT.
• If you don’t register, it’s always a good idea to keep good accounts just in case the policy changes in the future.

Do you offer any events?

Yes, we offer talks, workshops, networking events and social gatherings. Our communities host a variety of formal and casual events throughout the year.

How can I report a lost item?

Please report the lost item to the D/Quarters team.

How do I apply for an establishment card and employment visa?

• Members (with company set-up) will be able to sponsor employees based on the office type leased.
• Before applying for an employment visa, we will assist members to obtain an establishment card from the Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) via our portal.

How many activities can I have under one license?

• In the case of a FZ-LLC, the company can have one activity or up to five activities under one license, depending on the license segment.
• In terms of the Gofreelance option, one activity is allowed for Tech and Education freelance licenses, while three activities are allowed for Media freelance license.

How much does it cost to setup a business/company in D/Quarters?

D/Quarters offers an array of high-quality facilities and services to help companies of all sizes unlock the next level of growth. Our pricing structure is designed to be competitive and in alignment with prevailing market rates to support our customers as they leverage Dubai’s strategic location and business-friendly environment for sustainable, long-term growth.

Is the hot desk available for use anytime?

Hot desks are available 24/7 on a first- come, first served basis.

Is there a limit on the number of employees per company?

You can choose to pay monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.

What are the services offered by D/Quarters?

Member Relations Management
• A member relations team is available to support when it comes to licensing, leasing, and payments.

Telecommunication (Wi-Fi and Phone)
• High speed Wi-Fi is available to all members
• On request, members can get access to a landline phone, cable internet or faster Wi-Fi. For assistance, please feel free to contact IT support on: memberrelations@dquarters.ae or call us on 800 4 DQR (377).

Mail Handling
• All members have access to a P.O. Box number to receive regular mail.
• D/Quarters has also partnered with DHL and Aramex to provide global coverage. Please contact us at memberrelations@dquarters.ae or on 800 4 DQR (377) if you require more information.

Conference and meeting rooms booking
• D/Quarters has a variety of meeting rooms and conference rooms of various sizes to facilitate your meetings, depending on the number of attendees.
• The meeting rooms are available in different sizes, and they can accommodate between 4 and 10 people. Meeting rooms are located on each floor for your convenience and ease of access. Please book at least 48 hours in advance by sending an email to memberrelations@dquarters.ae or by checking the availability on the APP.

Printing
• Each floor has its own printing hub. Please don’t hesitate to contact the D/Quarters team on memberrelations@dquarters.ae or 800 4 DQR (377) for assistance.Pantry Access
• A fully equipped self-service pantry with microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, and water dispenser is provided on each floor for your convenience.

Prayer Room
• Male and Female prayer rooms are available on the ground floor.Gaming Room• A gaming room is available on the second floor for members to relax and recharge.Phone/Focus and Quiet Rooms
• There are focus rooms on the first, second and third floors for members to take calls in privacy or enhance focus time. Please ask the D/Quarters team for assistance.

House Keeping
• D/Quarters maintains a continuous cleaning schedule around the clock for your health and safety. After each use, all meeting rooms, conference rooms, and focus rooms are sanitized.

Events and networking platforms
• As a member of a flourishing business community focused on innovation and collaboration, you will have access to industry events, talks, workshops, as well as opportunities to network with likeminded professionals, entrepreneurs, and potential clients.

What are your timings?

• The coworking spaces are available 24/7.• Our team is available to support members from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

What coworking solutions do you provide and how much do they cost?

D/Quarters offices and coworking spaces are designed to fit the specific business needs of its members. We provide the following office solutions:

• Hot Desk starting at AED 12,000
• Dedicated Desk starting from AED 36,000
• Private Quarters starting from AED 48,000

What insurance are companies required to have?

You will require third-party liability insurance. In addition, if you have any employees, you will need workman’s compensation insurance as well. Our team will be able to assist in obtaining a suitable insurance.

What is the license validity?

Licenses have a validity of one year and can be renewed on an annual basis.

What payment methods am I able to use?

Members may pay by credit card, cheque, bank transfer or in cash. Please keep in mind that cash payments are restricted to AED 55,000.

What type of companies can I set up?

We offer business licenses to the following types of companies:
• Incorporation of a new Free Zone Limited Liability Company (FZ-LLC)
• Branch of an existing foreign or UAE company• Freelance license
